Just Released! A Drupal Pinterest Clone

Over the past few weeks we have been finishing up PinBoard, our Drupal Pinterest clone, using the popular, open source Drupal CMS. We started on this project a few months ago and, with feedback from customers, have been able to release several Beta updates of this Drupal theme to improve the UI and additional functionality of the theme.

We were excited to build a Drupal solution after the Pinterest model. There are a bunch of ways to make money off of a Pinterest solution. Here are a few more ways you can make money using a Pinterest-styled website:

Current Features for PinBoard Include

• Responsive theme (using the Skeleton responsive framework)
• "Pin It" bookmarklet button (you can add it to IE, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari browsers)
• Social media integration using the popular ShareThis module
• You can Pin videos from YouTube and Vimeo (more to be added in a later version)
• Editing of your own board names
• Repin, Like, or Comment on other user's Pins
• Follow and Unfollow users
• "YouFollow" page with viewing of Pins for the users you follow

• Optional Pin fields, such as Price, Alt text for images, Tags, URL, etc. (can be turned off or modified if needed)
