VITech - VIT.net does not Pay their Invoices and are Payment Defaulters

This post in in regards to VIT.net, or Visionary Information Technologies, not paying their invoice for work performed for one of their clients.

I love to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, even in business relationships. But I cannot tolerate clients or development agencies not paying their invoices. Further, I cannot tolerate these types of clients also ignoring all attempted correspondence such as not returning phone messages or replying to many emails sent.

VIT.net - Service Payment Defaulters!

Such is the case with VIT.net, or Visionary Information Technologies in La Jolla, CA. We did some contracted work for one of their clients, Azarmehr.com, a couple of months back and were contracted by VIT.net (or VITech) because of our involvement with Drupal and Drupal website SEO audits. Shadzee, or Sam, from VIT.net confirmed moving forward with this particular client and so we spent around 10 hours performing an extensive SEO audit for their client - about 15 to 20 pages worth as I recall.

After this project was completed we sent the work to Shadzee (Sam) at VIT.net and them followed up with our invoice about 3 to 4 weeks later. There was a bit of mis-communication withthe invoice getting to Sam's email, but after an email or two to work out the issue the invoice was confirmed as finally received.

It's been nearly a month and a half and still no indication of VIT.net paying this outstanding invoice. Further, we have spent several hours in addition to email and call VIT.net and Sam with no luck at all. No email is ever responded to and no phone call returned. This really annoys me!

Don't Do Business with VIT.net (Visionary Information Technologies)

So, until we hear from VIT.net or Shadzee (Sam), this post should be warning to anyone else attempting to solicit business from VIT.net. I would steer very clear from them and would never recommend their services to anyone, nor would I suggest that anyone do work for them (or a client of theirs) because they will not pay for the work completed. They didn't with us anyway.

Even though the invoice is relatively small in comparison to other work we do, I plan to see how much negative publicity I can create for VIT.net - simply because I'm just a little pissed off at this point. Then, perhaps after they receive NO business because they are deemed untrustworthy, then paying for work performed will have some importance to them. You can also read more about VIT.net payment defaulters over at another blog.

I was thinking about doing business with VIT and was wondering if you have any opinions about them to offer me?

My opinion - Don't use VIT.net

Hi,
Thanks for your comment. I could probably help your decision based on several recent things that I'm personally aware of with VIT.net or that we've been told that has happened with VIT.net's development promises.

As the post above states they agreed to pay us for an SEO audit but have instead just simply ignored all attempts to reach them by phone or email. Shadzee (goes by Sam) is the person you'd likely be dealing with from their company. I believe they are a one or two man shop.

The dentist office they did work for (Azarmehr.com) told me that Shadzee was let go and the reason was the quality of work and/or agreements for the site work. They did not go into detail but it got so bad that the owner of that dentist office will not even speak to Shadzee and is extremely upset at VIT.net for the work (or lack or work) performed.

Even though our SEO audit was done as a third party provider, i.e. we provided this audit for Azarmehr.com and it was more than likely white-labeled under VIT.net, I find it very disconcerting that Shadzee would scam us out of our agreement and cause us to waste so much time, efforts, and money.

I personally have no faith in their ability to provide anything useful from a development standpoint (going by their portfolio and overall skills), but more so I don't feel they can honestly be trusted.... and trust is everything in development projects. Once this has faltered, everything else is out the door so to speak.

I hope this helps you a little with your decision.

It's good to have stumbled

It's good to have stumbled upon this article and read this precaution. Have there been a lot of unsatisfied clients of VIT.net? People should be warned not to continue or start business with them.

Stay away from Vit.net

Hi Dr. Reeves.
Thanks for stopping by. I would stay far away from this "company." It seems that we're not the only ones scammed by Vit.net. I spoke to several clients before writing the above post to warn people about them and also attempted a dozen or more emails or calls to try to contact Shadzee, the person for whom I was in contact with there.

I would avoid them at all cost. I think people have enough to worry about when searching for a website development company. In my opinion Vit.net will rip you off in the end. Shady practices and Shadzee is a shady person. Don't do business with them!
