Hi Evan, Thanks for stopping by. The cost of Drupal Themes will be from $59 to $89.

We would like to give people the ability to choose what they need in the shopping cart process - hosting, site setup on customer's server, and so on.

Another service we are launching will be a Drupal SEO upgrade option as well. This would include the installation of up to 8 Drupal SEO modules we like the most (or that we feel will give the customer the most benefit) and up to 3 hours of SEO consulting for our Drupal themes and websites.

Wow, that is much more affordable than I thought. Not the best place to ask this but, would you guys take a look at a current theme and improve upon/tighten things up by chance? Is that possible?

How long for the site? I'm excited.

The Drupal theme prices will reflect the amount of manual work involved on each theme. For instance, if we create a Drupal video portal (like a Drupal Youtube clone), then we might charge more based on the support hours because it would undoubtedly be more man hours to develop and maintain.
There are still some Drupal GPL issues we are trying to understand before launching this project. The Drupal GPL wording and usage is a bit murky.

Hello, Thanks for visiting. We are working on several additional details for this theme. We want it to be as solid as possible when we release it.

It will almost certainly be next week when it is released due to our programmer's holiday schedule.

BTW. You write you will provide more then just themes. Would be awesome if you would release some developed premium modules. Thanks for all of the welcomed interest in the Efficient Drupal theme we're creating - one of hopefully many in the coming months we will be releasing.

We are finishing up some of the back-end functionality and layout issues with the theme, i.e. forum look and feel, error/status messages output, and other aesthetic bits and pieces. We would like this first theme to be as solid before we launch it but still be light in CSS and XHTML source code (still gotta keep SEO in mind ya know).

I will post later this week with an update but do apologize for the delay. Right now Drupal themes takes a back seat to SEO clients and projects - at least until we get a few out there to see what the response will be.

Honestly i think the response will be pretty good. The template looks to be very nice and can be compared with the multitude of joomla designs that as you can see sell very well. I can't wait to get my hands on it :P.
I assume that there isn't any problem on modifying the colors from the css myself (i will not break any tos or something).

It seems that a lot of us are waiting patiently here for the release of this initial template. While I fully understand the need to ensure that the templates are error-free (and believe me, it is appreciated!), perhaps we can push for a versioned release schedule.

I am proposing here that we be afforded the opportunity to purchase now and receive the beta template version. This allows site admins to start the testing process, begin working on options for integration into existing implementations (or start new ones), and other time-sensitive actions.

SEO could then release the official 1.0 to this set of customers when the version is ready and then start the six month "support" window at that point.

Everyone wins.

Hi everyone, I wanted to post an update here. We have finished the theme and it is located here (Drupal Efficient Theme). Or here: http://drupalsnap.com/theme-demos/efficient-t... We are just making a few more tweaks to the theme today but our biggest hurdle to releasing this theme is how to charge for any themes we create.

Drupal's GPL license is merky and our attorneys have nearly finished the review of the GPL license so that we can determine what we can and cannot sell.

We respect Drupal's licensing rules and the Drupal community, so we must be entirely within the boundaries of any license. For more information on Drupal's license, please see the sites below:

I am not an expert on this (or even an amateur) ... but I have seen other Drupal themes for sale from other sites. I am not sure if they are skirting the issue, following the guidelines or what, but it might be worth checking out.

I will not give links, as if the other companies are doing something wrong, I would hate to be their downfall ... however, a Google search will net you a handful.

Found your page while looking for drupal "newspaper" theme. Hope you release it soon.

Looks like CSS licensing might be viable. Many people would also pay for support, as the next drupal release is now around the corner, and the next point release right around the next corner. Support could have multiple levels, including free registration so you can at least gain information about your users.

So... any news?

I'm interested in more information on the social networking theme you have coming out. Do you have any additional information on that as to scheduled target date for that release?
