Make Video Sharing Part of your Marketing Arsenal

If you're in an industry that can produce a guide, review, informational "quip" about a service, product, or idea, then why not broadcast it? For some companies this has produced a significant ROI per lead or conversion. A quick example to illustrate: If you're a development company that has built your own content management system, then you could provide several video tutorials on how to use your CMS, how easy it is to create content, and add some video tutorials about how clients can easily modify your custom CMS templates. The conversions from these submitted videos alone would increase conversions 5 to 1 versus an online manual on how to manage the CMS.

Submitting to the list of video sharing sites we've aggregated below can be tedious and take hours. Keep in mind that not every video site listed below should be considered valuable unless you just have more free time on your hands than you know what to do with. Some target certain viewers, others just don't have the viewers to create any significant amount of traffic.

Top Video Sharing Web Sites

If you are wanting to get the most ROI long-term I would recommend researching these video sites listed above (and any others I perhaps missed), eliminate the video sharing sites that aren't targeted to your video "audience," then re-sort based on popularity of the video site.

You could go one step further and manually review similar videos that might closely match the video(s) you are thinking of submitting to get a better idea on the number of "views" they received. Then, guage whether or not submitting there is worth the time for your particular video niche.

Please let me know of missed video sharing sites in the comments and I'll add them above.

This is certainly a good

This is certainly a good idea that i hadn't though of. It would be particualrly good for tutorials, rather than a bunch of Jpegs and text.

Do any of these video hosting sites provide good backlinks as well as potential clicks from the videos?

Backlinks from Video Sites

Hi,
Some of these do provide backlinks that are followed by search engines. It's really a matter of reviewing the ones that are adequate matches to your type of video.

Clicks and traffic from videos - yes! Depending on the type of video you submit, whether a tutorial on how to install or configure something to a cool tip or trick to reduce the time it takes to do something, these video sites would provide a great outlet for branding and reputation in almost any industry.

Create Branding in the Video

Hi Mutiny,
Another good point would be to create custom branding within the video itself. I would strongly advise video creators to do this anyway to limit others from capitalizing on their videos.

In the world of marketing, these custom additions are often call interstitials. It would go before or after the video segment in most cases.

Hi

Hi

I found one more video sharing site www.flicksharing.com

A solution to embedded video buffering problems!

Hi,

If anyone has any buffering problems (like I do) when watching embedded videos on site slike youtube, dailymotion, metacafe, cnn, aol, myspace tv etc... then i recommend you download video accelerator from www.videoaccelerator.com - it's free to download and made all the videos i watch on these sites play much faster and without breaks.

This application is the best I've seen so far!

Enjoy!!!
